If I cancel my reservation do I get a refund?
If you are traveling on Interislander you will receive a refund, but there will be a cancellation fee.
All BlueBridge Ferry reservations are non refundable.
Can I change the date and times on my reservation?
Yes you can change the dates and/or times on your reservation if they are available.
What is the baggage allowance?
You are allowed two items of luggage not exceeding 30kgs.
Can I book an open ticket?
You can't book an open ticket but you can chose a date that can then be changed .
What happens if my sailing is delayed or canceled due to bad weather?
If a sailing is canceled because of weather, the ticket holder will be given the option of a transfer to the first available scheduled sailing or a full refund.
What Time should I check in?
For all ferry sailings, if you are traveling with a vehicle you will need to check in one hour prior, if you are just foot passengers you will need to check in 30minuted prior to the sailing.
Can I bring my own alcohol on board?
Only alcohol purchased on the ship can be consumed on board.
Can I pay for food and other purchases using EFTPOS while on the ship?
Yes, eftpos is available in the bar, kiosk and café areas.
Is carparking available at both ferry terminals?
There are no long term car park facilities at either Wellington or Picton Bluebridge terminals.
There is long and short term parking at Interislander Terminals in Wellington and Picton for a small cost.
Do I have access to my vehicle during a sailing?
No, there is no access to the vehicle deck during the voyage.
How long does the trip take?
Generally, it's a 3 hours and 20 minute journey on BlueBridge and 3 hours on Interislander
Do the ferries cater for access for those who are disabled or in wheelchairs?
Yes both ferriesservices have wheelchair access, if you need any extra help a kind staff member will help you in anyway.
Can I take my pet on the ferry? What special arrangements do I need to make?
Yes you can take pets on the ferry. You can either hire kennels or keep your pet in the vehicle providing that the window is down and that they have water to drink.
